This paper presents some references about the development boards as one of electronic tools that allow its design, assembly and use with peripheral means to make pedagogical practices in the area of mechatronics. There is an approach to the concept of the cards, elemental components for its operation, the best known trademarks and their application in areas such as audio effects, scanner frequency and digitally controlled robot.
