The paper presents a novel proposal where the rate of a home comfort and the energy consumption are related at different phases of its lifetime, by using the diagram URE-VIVIENDA. This relationship has been defined as the number URE-VIVIENDA. According to the area in which the number is located in the diagram, can be determined if the home complies with the minimum of comfort to a maximum power consumption conditions.
